JARVIS BUCKS THE BUILDING BLUES.

THE Jarvis Group is going against the current downturn in the building industry by recently securing more than £12 million of work throughout the Home Counties, south Midlands and north London areas.

Steve Cook, Jarvis Contracting’s Managing Director, said: “It is a little early, in the current climate, to see how the industry will fare over the next year, but I am very pleased to say that we appear to be going against the grain in the downturn. The company will need to work hard to secure new work throughout 2009, which we expect to be a very difficult year.”

The Harpenden-based company provides services ranging from building, mechanical and electrical, and property maintenance and development. In the last few months they have continued to secure work in their core areas of business, being residential, education, healthcare and public sectors.
