17th September - COVID-19 Safety Measures Induction
We have now launched a COVID-19 Induction VIdeo outlining the steps we've taken to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff on our sites and in our offices. The latest version of this video can be found here - https://youtu.be/iZkQKQq1IHo
29th June – Restricted reopening of Company Offices
As we continue to review the way we operate as a business throughout COVID-19, our Head Office has had limited access to ensure the safety our staff. Whilst our top priority remains their safety and wellbeing, we will now be keeping our offices open permanently, with staff continuing to work from home if appropriate.
We have set out new guidance and established a risk assessment for staff to ensure their safety should they be working within the office. Suitable facilities will be available on entry and around the building along with guidance being displayed. The one-way system that was introduced prior to the closure of the office will remain in place.
20th April – Structured Reopening
As of 20th April, the following sites will be reopening:
- Brewery Road
- Wavell House
- St Albans Road
- Gold Hill Baptist Church
To support this structured reopening of these sites, we have developed a COVID-19 risk assessment and method statement to comply with the latest government advice on Coronavirus/COVID-19, whilst also complying with the Construction Leadership Councils (CLC) Site Operational Procedures, which were set out to ensure safe working practices and control measures across the business.
24th March - Coronavirus Update
As part of our initial response to Covid-19, we introduced precautionary measures on site to ensure they remained open, whilst ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all those working on them and encouraged our office staff with the capabilities to work from home, to do so.
In line with the Government guidelines, social distancing remained at the forefront of site operations. Non-essential attendance to site was suspended and we monitored those that were on site, prior to entry, along with displaying key guidance on spread prevention measures.
Despite the proactive measures in place, we have decided to cease construction activity from 25th March and use the next few days to ensure that we carry out a structured closure, so all sites are left in a safe and secure state by the end of the week (27th March).
Thanks to all of our staff and supply chain for their tremendous effort throughout this. Our Head Office team will continue working remotely as they have been over the past few weeks. A further update will be posted with regards to restarting works in the future. #StaySafe
12th March - Precautionary Coronavirus Procedures
It is evident that the country will soon enter the next phase of Government management of COVID-19, so therefore Jarvis are introducing the following escalation measures on all live projects. Our goal is to minimise the impact to site progress, and more importantly to try to safeguard the health and wellbeing of Jarvis site based personnel and anybody attending a Jarvis site.
