The centre is run by professional staff and volunteers and provides facilities for recreation, workshops and training in business skills to help improve the quality of life for members. Through its activities the centre offers stimulation, motivation and structure to members five days a week. The charity has formerly been occupying Jarvis premises to the rear of Bowers Parade in Harpenden which is shortly to be redeveloped by them to provide 18 new apartments, three cottages, a retail unit and office buildings, part of which when completed will be occupied by Community Meeting Point. The redevelopment of Bowers Parade will commence Spring 2008 and will take 18 months to complete.
