In 2017 the criteria for students has been extended to include the LU1 and LU2 postcodes.

‘I have just begun my undergraduate career as a first-year Fashion student at Hertfordshire University and can already report that my academics are off to a great start. My plans at this stage are to complete my degree, whilst undertaking internships/work experience during holidays to gain critical experience in my desired industry.

The University of Hertfordshire has already allowed me to grow so much as a person and an aspiring designer and I consider myself fortunate to be able to attend and carry out my degree.

With the aid of the scholarship, it will enable me to fully immerse myself in my degree gaining vital knowledge and skills to allow me a successful career.'

Faye Griffiths, Jarvis Scholar

'I have much to thank Jarvis for during my university life. Amongst my fondest memories of university will forever be the night shortly before Christmas 2014 that I received the call informing me that I had been selected for the Centenary Scholarship, It was truly a surprise and a great privilege.

As this was my final year and I have received my confirmed marks. I can say with great pride that I will be graduating from my Music Technology BSc course with first class honours.'
