Jarvis Scoops Prestigious School Contract.

Following an intensive vetting procedure by the client, Jarvis Contracting Limited has recently been awarded the contract for a major building project at
St George’s School, Harpenden, Hertfordshire.

The development, which is in three phases, started in June 2007 and will provide the school with a brand new state of the art sports hall and a three storey classroom block together with a complete refurbishment of the main assembly hall.

The Headmaster of St George’s School, Norman F Hoare, said of the project: ‘We are very excited about the development and the benefits it will bring to the school and pupils; it will enhance the learning environment and improve the facilities of the school significantly. We are pleased that Jarvis has been awarded this contract and look    

forward to working together.’                                               

The project, valued at approximately £5m, is due for completion by late summer 2008. The project will be co-ordinated by Dannie Bonner, Contracts Manager for Jarvis, along with the London based architects’ William Crabtree and Jarosz and quantity surveyors’ Monro White Hilton.

Jarvis has extensive experience of working within the education sector and has successfully completed building projects for a large number of schools within the Home Counties and North London areas.
